FAQ

●❯ What mods will you be looking for?
We will be looking for Merch, Writing, Graphics, and Social Media mods, as well as a promo artist! To go forward with a physical project, we will also need a Finance and Shipping mod.●❯ What will contributor roles be?
Concept Artists will given a spread to draw and write about a singular element they'd like to see! This could be customization options, a new set of weapons or weapon type, a storyline, whatever you're most interested in!
Writers will be tasked with writing in-universe or Squid Research Lab-like articles about the game! This could be like a newspaper article about Deep Cut's disappearance, or analysis of the different types of fish found around the Spirhalite Islands. They can also help artists write about their elements too!
Unfortunately, we will not be including any prose in this project.●❯ How many contributors are you going to accept?
At the moment, we're aiming for 25 concept artists and 5 writers. This may be increased if we have enough interest.●❯ What are you looking for in contributor applications?
For Concept Artists, we will be looking for examples related to what you want to draw about! So if you want to showcase new weapons, we'll look for examples of weapons you've drawn. Unlike other zines, backgrounds will have very little or no impact on portfolio evaluation.
For Writers, news writing/journalistic examples would be greatly appreciated, but we will also accept prose. We will be looking specifically at descriptions, humor, and overall engagement.
